Volume 1, Issue 1 (October–December 2026) is open for submissions.
Manuscripts received by 20 November 2026 will be considered for the inaugural issue. There is no article processing charge for articles accepted into this issue.

The Journal of Health, Pharmacy, Medicine and Nursing (JHPMN) invites researchers, clinicians, pharmacists, nurses and public-health professionals to submit their work for the journal’s inaugural issue. JHPMN is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal; every article is free to read from the day it is published.

  • Medicine & Clinical Sciences – clinical medicine, surgery, diagnostics and imaging, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, chronic disease.
  • Nursing & Allied Health – nursing practice and education, critical care, rehabilitation, the healthcare workforce.

Article types

  • Original research articles
  • Systematic reviews and meta-analyses
  • Narrative reviews
  • Short communications and brief reports
  • Case reports and case series

Postgraduate dissertation and thesis research (MPhil, MS, PhD, FCPS, MD, MSN) is welcome when it is prepared as a journal article.

Timeline for the inaugural issue

  • 20 November 2026 – last date for submissions to be considered for Volume 1, Issue 1.
  • Within 7 days – editorial screening and a decision on whether the manuscript goes to peer review.
  • 3–4 weeks – independent review by at least two reviewers.
  • By 31 December 2026 – accepted articles published online in the issue.

Manuscripts that need more time are not rushed: they are published in a later issue once review is complete.

Peer review and standards

Every research manuscript is assessed by at least two independent reviewers. Editors and board members never handle a manuscript in which they have a competing interest. Studies should follow the reporting guideline for their design (for example STROBE for observational studies, CONSORT for trials, PRISMA for systematic reviews and CARE for case reports) – see Reporting Guidelines. Human studies need an ethics approval statement and a statement on informed consent.

How to submit

  1. Prepare the manuscript as a Word file (.doc or .docx) using the Author Guidelines and Vancouver reference style.
  2. Create an account or sign in at the Editorial Manager.
  3. Choose Submit Manuscript and select the research section that fits your work.

Questions about the call for papers can be sent to the editorial office.
