Research Integrity
Core principles
JHPMN expects honest reporting, appropriate ethics approval, valid informed consent where required, transparent authorship, disclosure of competing interests, accurate citation and preservation of the scholarly record.
Research involving humans
Authors must identify the approving ethics committee or institutional review board and provide the approval/reference number where applicable. The manuscript must explain the consent process. Where consent was waived, the responsible ethics body and basis for waiver must be stated.
Research involving animals
Animal studies must identify the responsible ethics or animal-care committee and describe compliance with relevant institutional and national standards.
Misconduct
Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, manipulated peer review and undisclosed material conflicts may lead to rejection, correction, expression of concern or retraction, depending on the stage and evidence.
